Plantation Drive – Environment Day
A plantation drive on World Environment Day involving students and teachers, planting 150+ medicinal and tree plants with environmental awareness sessions.
About This Event
A plantation drive was conducted on World Environment Day (5th June) involving students and teachers at the Primary School in Madamgandi, Pottangi, Koraput District. Over 150 medicinal and tree plants were planted, along with awareness sessions on environmental conservation and maintaining a clean school ecosystem.
Students were actively engaged in the planting process, learning about different species of trees and their ecological importance. Teachers integrated the activity into their curriculum, using it as a hands-on learning opportunity about environmental science and sustainability.
The event also included awareness sessions on waste management, the importance of green cover, and how individual actions contribute to environmental conservation. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in young minds.
